The threat was over, Pacillas insisted.
"There is no longer a threat. I'll say it again: There is no longer a risk to the public "said Pacillas.

According to Gomez, police were hunting for a potential third party. There was no explanation given. Gomez claimed that a weapon had been found at the scene, but he was unable to elaborate.
He remarked, "It's too early to guess on motive."
According to Gomez, the three injured were transferred to nearby hospitals.
The third victim's status wasn't immediately known.
Gomez said that police expect the area to be secure and that they are currently searching the entire mall to confirm this.

Authorities have set up a reunification centre at a nearby high school.
Police earlier said the shooting was reported at the shopping mall's food court.
The shooting on Wednesday at the Cielo Vista Mall took place across a sizable parking lot from a Walmart where 23 people were murdered in a racist massacre in 2019.
